Today, I’m thankful for anticipation and all that it does. The anticipation of the day, pulls me out of bed. The anticipation of tomorrow leads me to do the best I can today. The anticipation of what’s waiting for me around the corner.
“Well,” said Pooh, “what I like best,” and then he had to stop and think. Because, although eating honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn’t know what it was called.”
― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
The excitement of the new thing, whatever it is, laying out before me can guide me down the path of the unknown. New people. New places. New experiences. They are all anticipating my arrival, right? Right.
And it’s true for everyone. The strong and weak; the young and old; the repaired and broken.
Makes tomorrow pretty dang bright, doesn’t it?
