Make Good Friday good, no matter what your faith.

Running brings a lot of good to the world.  If you’re reading this, you’ve likely read or know about my time with THON, the Hope Express and Ronald McDonald House Charities.  Today, I’m trying to make Good Friday good by asking your help for a friend who is always helping others.

No matter what your faith, today is a good time to remember to be thankful for what you have achieved and what you have been given.  If you are of a faith that observes Good Friday, I ask that you consider Matthew 25:40.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Since you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.

There are a lot of “least of these.”  One of the groups of the “least of these,” that breaks my heart the most is that of children battling cancer.  My dear friend, Jodie Potter, is running the Pittsburgh Marathon this year to raise money for Cody’s Crew. To help Jodie do a little something for the least of us, I’m asking you to go to the link and make a donation in the amount you would spend on a coffee for yourself this afternoon or this weekend.  A short drip cup at Starbucks is around $1.65 and a short latte is around $2.85 (says the Today show back in June, 2014).  Either way, you can see I’m not asking much.  What you don’t see is that if a lot of YOU give not that much, we can make a HUGE difference.

Thanks so much for your consideration, time and your help in remembering the least of us.
