I’ve been thinking a lot about National Running Day. I’ve been thinking about some of the most important things to me while running. I’ve decided it has to do with the apparel. Whether getting out on the road for a short, light run or a long haul, each and every runner understands the importance of considering their clothes.
Through my years of running, I’ve dressed in layers, tanks, shorts, sorrow, tights, CRAZY tights, anger, long socks, joy, short socks, t-shirts, anxiety, hats, gloves, headbands, mittens, calf sleeves, yada, yada, yada. I’ve dressed up in a lot and taken it out for my run, but the most important, meaningful and always present..
I’m always dressed up in love.
If I remember this, I’ll always be ok. We’ll all, always be ok. One step, one minute, one block, one mile, one 5k, one month, one marathon, one life at a time.
Dress yourself in love every day and we’ll all be ok.
