Following a guide to awesome… Day 3

How are those Brain Pictures going? I hope they’re well.  I made a Brain Picture tonight of my dear friend, Andrew.  He’s running the Baltimore Marathon tomorrow and I think everyone should send good vibes his way.  He’s a good, honest and true friend.  Totally worth making a Brain Picture of.  Also, he’s got this great new haircut.

Kid President and his Guide to Awesome suggest as number 3, the following:

Relax.  Don’t sweat the small stuff.  Life is short and deodorant is expensive.

All I can say to that is: True.

As such, I’m not going to worry about every part of this weekend being or going perfect(ly).  Yes, a weekend isn’t much, but I’m starting small.  I’m going to be present and enjoy the moments without obsessing about all the things I could have done to make those moments better.  This especially includes all the obsessing I could do about the Marine Corps Marathon that is quickly approaching.  The best thing I can do for any moment is to be aware that I’m in it and make the best of it.
