First, I must say, in this wild political climate, I’m having an exceedingly difficult time choosing who to vote for. Currently, my top two choices are Kid President and President Josiah Bartlet.
Moving on. On this lovely, chilly Friday, Kid President suggests this:
Ask your best friend for help.
The story in the book is wonderful, but I gleaned something different. When your perception is that life has dealt you a difficult moment, you don’t have to face it alone.
- Look around you for all the positive that you have.
- Remember those amazing words: “Those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”
- Know that you are not alone and you can ask for help. Help shows up in many ways. Sometimes, it’s a literal hand helping you get up from the floor. Other times, it’s someone to listen to you figuring out your ideas. Still other times, it’s someone to cheer you on. Friends can help you understand when you’re not being heard.
Who’s helping you today?
