NEW PROJECT ALERT
I love MAIL! I love walking to the mailbox, flipping up the lid, pulling out the stack to see an envelope with my name, HANDWRITTEN on the front. I feel so special in that moment because I know how nice it is to realize someone was thinking about me enough to take the time to write on the card/note, insert, seal, address, apply postage, apply return address, and mail. This takes SO MUCH MORE TIME than sending a text or email and this person chose to spend this time on me. I love sending mail because I like people to realize they were worthy of that time as well. Further, I just never know what people are going through. Maybe, just maybe, that mail will get to that person right when they need it. I know I’ve gotten that little bright spot just when I’ve needed it.
Here’s the project:
We’re wrapping up the summer and during this time of year, I like to start collecting the addresses of people to receive end-of-year cards. I am an equal opportunity card giver. I send for Chanukah/Christmas/New Year/Kwanza/Winter Solstice/Festivus/etc.
1. If you’re in for a card/note this year, let me know. Please send me your address and, if you so desire, your preferred holiday/end of year celebration.
2. If you know someone who needs to realize someone is thinking about them, shoot me their info. I can do that anonymously or, if you so desire, I can say it is from YOU.
3. You can reply to this blog post, PM me on Facebook or Instagram, or send me an email.
I think this is going to be fun! I’ll let you know how it goes.
