Today, I'm thankful for the funny and all that it gets us through. The edges of the mouth that curl up just as you're about to fall out of ardha chandrasana, or the cackle that comes when the dog finally catches the tip of its tail, or the warm giggle that comes with watching the river … Continue reading Thirty Days of Thankful 11.1.16

Today I am thankful for sleep. That is all.
TDT 2.0 Road Trips
Today I am thankful for my ability to go on road trips. I'm thankful for trips for races, holidays and family visits. I wonder how many people who can take their well-running car on a trip to do what they want to do actually appreciate that gift. I do.
TDT 2.0 Holidays
Today I'm thankful for the AMAZING feeling that happens around the holidays. It really helps to make things completely possible that you would have never allowed yourself to imagine any other time of the year. Run further. Dream bigger. Smile wider.

Today I am thankful for my caring, thoughtful, selfless, giving stud of a husband who always shows me grace and unconditional love - often in spite of myself. So thankful to be running the real ultra marathon of life with him.
TDT 2.0 Times
Today I'm thankful for those times when you just know what's right. Sometimes you know what's right because everyone around you is doing what's right and with the most genuine intentions. Other times, you know what's right because a very clear example of WRONG is staring you in the face, sending you a text message … Continue reading TDT 2.0 Times
TDT 2.0 Simple People
Today, I'm thankful for simple people. These people lay everything out there and speak plainly. I am thankful for these people because one is never on unstable ground with them. They are clear, concise, and transparent. There's never anxiety when approaching conversation or interaction with these people because, in my experience, it seems that with … Continue reading TDT 2.0 Simple People
TDT 2.0 The Sun
Today, while running the Across the Bay 10K with my husband, I was thankful for the sun. The air was chilly but the sun kept us warm the whole way. It was stunning.
TDT: Magic
My ideas usually come not at my desk writing but in the midst of living. -- Anais Nin My ideas usually come not at my desk but while running. This became abundantly clear last evening when I was trying to catch up with my blogs. Lately the internet has not been very supportive of me putting … Continue reading TDT: Magic
TDT: Bravery
Today I'm thankful for the bravery to do completely, wonderfully, illogically, life-changing things. Things that really make my life the best it can be. TST: Snuggles
On this interesting day of yucky tummy-ness, I am thankful for snuggly sweaters that make me feel taken care of. I just like snuggling down, wrapped up in woven delight. TDT: Sunrise, Sunset
I seem to be drawn to running when the sun is rising or setting. There’s just something about the sometimes quiet, sometimes loud, way the sun says, “Hello,” or, “Good night,” that appeals to me and pulls me down the road. I’m thankful I am capable of seeing the sun wake up and go to … Continue reading TDT: Sunrise, Sunset
TDT: Movies
I’ve thought about this topic numerous times while running. Today, or yesterday, rather I was thankful for movies. I know it could be viewed as a shallow thing to be thankful for, but hear me out. Or don’t. Why do people love movies? Why do I love movies? Some people actually like movies for the … Continue reading TDT: Movies
TDT: Family
It's so effortless to think about what I'm thankful for while running. With all the endorphins flowing, it's pretty easy to get into a thankful place about almost anything. It can be a little more difficult after getting off your sixth day of work in a row. I just left a shift at the Ronald … Continue reading TDT: Family
